Alan Sackman – Chairman of the Board
Building on his experience as a mortgage banker, Alan Sackman began developing
real estate in 1969. His keen eye and exceptional understanding of the market
led him to specialize in historic brownstones on Manhattan’s Upper West Side --
properties that remain a cornerstone of the Sackman portfolio.
In the 1970s, Alan added high rise and out-of-ground construction projects to
the business. Over the years, Alan has successfully formed partnerships with
banks and private investors, and completed more than $500 million in real
estate transactions.
James Hefelfinger – Chief Executive Officer
Since 1972, James Hefelfinger has added value to the Sackman portfolio by
overseeing restoration, rental, and management of commercial and residential
properties.
James also coordinates cooperative and condominium conversions and supervises
all legal matters, including contracts and underwriting. James has also long
been a principal investor in Sackman properties.
Carter Sackman - President
Active in real estate development since 1986, Carter Sackman began his career
by focusing on the financial components of the business, including
loan-to-value appraisal, loan origination, and loan servicing and warehousing.
In recent years, Carter has led the expansion of the business into mixed-use
developments and added new construction developments to the Sackman portfolio.
He has also raised additional capital by forming new real estate entities and
organizing equity investors.
